<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical sheet, by which a solid structure having refractive index anisotropy can be accurately formed. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the optical sheet, a composition 110 is heated at temperature equal to or higher than a melting point T<SB>1</SB>and is pressed in a state where the composition 110 is held between a master 100 and a light transmission film 130. Accordingly, the composition 110 is pressed and moved in an extending direction of the projections 100a among neighboring projections 100a to achieve liquid crystal orientation. Then a hot plate 120 is detached from the master 100 and the composition 110 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays L from the light transmission film 130 side at temperature lower than a phase transmission temperature T<SB>1</SB>to polymerize a liquid crystal monomer or a liquid crystal prepolymer. Accordingly, the liquid crystal monomer or the liquid crystal prepolymer becomes a liquid crystalline polymer having orientation in the extending direction of the projections 100a of the master 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
