PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven for controlling output by detecting a spark caused in heating. SOLUTION: This microwave oven has a magnetron 1 supplying a microwave for heating food in a heating chamber, a plurality of microphones 10 and 16 detecting an acoustic state inside of the heating chamber, a plurality of signal processing means 13 and 18 detecting spark information in the heating chamber from output of the plurality of microphones, and a spark determining means for determining generation of a spark from output of the plurality of signal processing means. A sound generated by the spark is detected by the plurality of microphones 10 and 16, and a signal is processed by the signal processing means 13 and 18, and operation of the magnetron 1 is controlled by determining the spark by a microcomputer 14 being the spark determining means.
