<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell culture container and a culture method, which enable closed mass culture without extinction of a cultured cell. <P>SOLUTION: The cell culture container includes a container body having a container having an innermost layer of a cyclic polyolefin-based polymer layer. Preferably, the cell culture container is obtained by filling the container with a medium in advance. The cell culture method includes a step of seeding a rare cell in the container by using the cell culture container, and a step of culturing the cell.
