PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for driving a machine screw through a member capable of driving the machine screw through the member under a through condition with a predetermined fixed depth, enabling the work at good working efficiency by using a power tool, and protecting a member interposed between a machine screw head part and the member. SOLUTION: A shaft part 9 of the machine screw 2 is provided with a screw shaft part 9a at a rip end side, a small diameter shaft part 9b, and a boundary step part 9d. The machine screw 2 is driven to a plate part 3a as the member under a condition where the screw shaft part 9a goes over the plate part 3a, the small diameter shaft part 9b is positioned in a hole 10 of the plate part 3a in such a manner that the same can idly turn, and the boundary step part 9d is positioned at a near side than the hole 10 of the plate part 3a and opposes to a circumference edge part of the hole 10. The machine screw is prevented from coming off by abutment of the screw shaft part 9a and the plate part 3a, and is prevented from being driven deeper by abutment of the boundary step part 9d and the plate part 3a.
