<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow in-store work on commodities not registered in a commodity master. <P>SOLUTION: In an electronic shelf label system, an ESL server 10 arranged at a store is provided with a hard disk 14 for storing a commodity master 140 and a link file 141, a bar code reader 17 for reading a bar code, and a link unit 110. When a commodity is associated with an electronic shelf label, an operator causes the bar code reader 17 to read a bar code representing the a commodity code of the commodity and a bar code representing a device code of an electronic shelf label disposed near the commodity by operating the bar code reader 17 by an operater. The link unit 110 stores acquired commodity specification information 130 and device specification information 131 into the link file 141 in association with each other regardless of whether or not the commodity represented by the read commodity code is registered in the commodity master 140. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
