<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program, a storage medium and a computer allowing smooth switching a battle state and a non-battle state in a very large game space. <P>SOLUTION: In the game space, a distance between a main character 10 and each of enemy characters 21, 22 and 23 is detected. It is determined whether the distance to the main character 10 is within a predetermined distance (a shooting range) or not for each enemy character. If it is within the predetermined distance, it is determined to be the battle state and processing during battle such as battle playing BGM is performed. If the enemy character presents within the same game space but outside of the shooting range of the main character, it is determined to be the non-battle state.
