PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely sense the quantity of fabrics in a drum by suppressing the influence of the fluctuation in the friction torque of a drum rotation shaft and the temperature property of the generated torque of a motor. SOLUTION: The washing machine has the motor 7 rotating and driving a washing drum, a sensing unit 14 of the rotation number of the motor, and a control section 31 controlling the rotation number of the motor from the sensed rotation number.
