A fixed contact (20) comprises conducting members (31) arranged in such a manner that the members make a pair, the leading ends of the members face the opening, and the members are opposed to each other substantially in parallel with each other, a supporting frame (a base member) (33) which supports a base of the conducting member in such a manner that it can be tilted, a plate spring (a pressure member) (43) which urges the conducting member (31) in a direction in which the leading ends come close to each other, and an outer frame (a shielding member) (45) which covers the peripheries of the conducting member (31) and the plate spring (43) and shields the peripheries from an exterior electric field. The plate spring (43) is arranged on the outside of the conducting member (31). The outer frame (45) is engaged with the leading end of the conducting member (31). Consequently, an opening width between the leading ends of the conducting members (31) is kept to be a predetermined width.
