METHOD FOR THE PRESSING OF A PRESS FITTING, AND PRESSING TOOL FOR THIS PURPOSE

The method involves laying an O-sealing ring on a bulging unit (31), and implementing a pressing process within the bulging unit. Another pressing process is implemented in a press fitting unit (3), which is provided at a distance from the bulging unit. The latter pressing process guides to concordant tapering of the press fitting unit and a tube (2). The bulging unit is axially widened or flattened by impacting the bulging unit radially outward, during the pressing processes, respectively. An attachment element is adapted to a contour course of the bulging unit. An independent claim is also included for a press tool for pressing a press fitting unit on a tube.
