PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telemeter system and a communication system, which facilitate appropriately maintaining environments of radio communication between a master device and respective slave devices while suppressing an increase in processing burden for a management center and the like as much as possible. SOLUTION: The radio communication system has the maser device and a plurality of slave devices communicating with the master device by radio, wherein a transmission line of information in the radio communication of each slave device is set to a transmission line for directly transmitting information without passing the other slave devices or a transmission line for transmitting information through the other slave device. In the telemeter system and the radio communication system, each slave device determines whether the slave device can perform radio communication, (hereafter referred to as "near-field communication") between the slave device and another closest slave device in the higher order side or the master device or not, and processing of newly providing another slave device as a relay in the near-field communication is performed if the near-field communication is impossible.
