PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine simply constructed to allow for cold/hot indication for emphasizing a cold/hot status of a group of merchandise samples. SOLUTION: The vending machine includes a cold/hot information indicator 1, placed behind merchandise samples 80 displayed on a display rack 70, for indicating cold/hot information corresponding to a cold/hot status of the group of merchandise samples (such as a cold blue color to represent a cold storage status, and a warm red color to represent a hot storage status) separately on either side. The cold/hot information indicator 1 is formed in a belt shape and suspended between retaining members 2 placed on right and left sides of a middle door 60 so as to be movable from side to side. Thus, a border area of the cold/hot information indicated separately on either side can be moved from side to side by moving the cold/hot information indicator 1 from side to side, and a background color for the merchandise samples 80 can be changed to the background color corresponding to the cold/hot status of the group of merchandise samples, each time when the cold/hot status of the group of merchandise samples is changed along with a change of ratio between cold and hot storage statuses of merchandise inside.
