PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for driving one or more superposed webs to be printed, which is used in a rotary press and easily varying a distance between gripping zones. SOLUTION: This device for driving one or more printing webs 4 used in the rotary press 2 includes two counter-rotating rollers 20A, 20B having substantially parallel axes of rotation A1, A2 and provided to grip the webs 4 between the rollers and to cause the webs 4 to move along as a result of the rotation of the rollers. Each of rollers 20A, 20B has two spaced cylindrical support surfaces 22A, 24A, 22B, 24B each defining zones Z1, Z2 for gripping the webs together with the corresponding and opposing support surface of the other roller.
