PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform pixel addition on vertical charge transfer lines. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a structure wherein even-numbered pixel rows are formed shifting from odd-numbered pixel rows by a 1/2 pixel pitch, color filters are provided in a Bayer array for a first pixel group of pixels in the odd-numbered rows and a second pixel group of pixels in even-numbered rows, and vertical charge transfer lines 102 of two pixel columns having the same pattern of a color filter array among adjacent pixel columns are shared by the two pixel columns. Consequently, signal charges of a B pixel and a (b) pixel can be added, signal charges of a G pixel and a (g) pixel can be added, and signal charges of an R pixel and an (r) pixel can be added on the vertical transfer lined 102.
