PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately set the diameter and position of a pinhole, to save space and to easily adjust the position of the pinhole at the end part of an optical fiber when replaced. SOLUTION: A light shielding material 14b is vapor-deposited on one surface of a circular glass substrate 14a leaving only the central part thereof and the pinhole 14c is formed at the center. The end face of the optical fiber 1 is accurately positioned with respect to the front end face 12b of a connector 12, then the pinhole 14c is bonded in a state that the pinhole 14c is positioned at the center of the core 1a of the optical fiber 1.
