PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler device stabilizing operation by minimizing dropping of a generated steam pressure, and suppressing increase of facility costs. SOLUTION: The boiler device 100 produces steam using pulverized coal as fuel, and it is composed by providing a boiler body 1, a coal feeder 2 supplying coal chunks 11 in a hopper 10 to a mill 3, a pulverized coal burner 4 burning the pulverized coal produced by the mill 3, a burner 5 for ignition igniting the pulverized coal burner 4, a control valve 8 carrying out supply and stopping of fuel to the burner 5 for ignition, a control means 6 for detecting a state of the mill 3 to control opening and closing of the control valve 8, and a tank 7 stocking the fuel for the burner 5 for ignition.
