<p>A head section (4), a platen roller (3), a motor (5) and a gear transmission mechanism (6) are attached to a frame (2) of a thermal printer. The frame (2) is formed of an alloy material by die casting, and furthermore, in the vicinity of a portion where the motor is to be attached on the frame (2), a heat dissipating fin (15) is integrally formed with the frame (2). Thus, heat generated by the motor (5) is dissipated from the frame, which is formed by die casting, and from the heat dissipating fin.</p> |
