<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrator capable of providing an angular velocity sensor with high detecting capability. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibrator includes at least a pair of exciting electrodes 15 disposed one each in the mutually opposite positions radially on both sides of an axis O of a cylindrical body 11 with a top in a piezoelectric element 14 to apply voltage to the piezoelectric element 14, and at least a pair of detecting electrodes 16 disposed one each in the mutually opposite positions radially on both sides of the axis O, in the positions avoiding the disposed positions of the exciting electrodes 15 in the piezoelectric element 14.
