A method and an apparatus for generating a 3D building model are provided to have a need of photographing condition information of a single satellite image of high resolution, thereby removing complicated pre-processing to reduce costs. A building model generating unit generates a 3D building mode including build outer texturing. The generated building model is stored in a storage unit. An image processing unit processes a single satellite image to usable image data(S220). The image processing unit unites white/black images of high resolution with color images of low resolution. The image processing unit generates color images of high resolution. A similarity building group definition unit defines a similarity building group from processed single satellite video data(S230). An information extraction unit collects three dimensional information of a building by a classified similarity building group unit(S240). |
