PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a baseband video signal and a compressed video signal to be transmitted, and to improve the user-friendliness of a longitudinal/lateral discharge layer not only for a video display device, but also portable equipment, such as a digital camera and a mobile phone. SOLUTION: Video equipment has a compression unit which compresses a baseband video signal from an imaging device and a baseband audio signal from a microphone to generate compressed information and an expansion unit which expands radio-received compressed video and audio signals into baseband signals. The video equipment can output at least one of the compressed information obtained by the compression unit and the baseband signal obtained by the expansion unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
