PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and compensate a time delay generated between positive signals and negative signals. SOLUTION: A differential signal transmitter for transmitting differential signals indicated by a potential difference between the positive signals and the negative signals is provided with a positive signal transmission line for transmitting the positive signals, a negative signal transmission line for transmitting the negative signals, and a delay compensation circuit for compensating a time difference between the positive signals and the negative signals, wherein the compensation time is variable. The delay compensation circuit may be provided with a capacitor and a switch for inserting the capacitor between at least one of the positive signal transmission line and the negative signal transmission line and a reference potential.
