PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that though an ultrasonograph to obtain cross-sectional images of the inside of a living body by an ultrasonic pulse echo method is used very widely at medical institutions because the instrument is a safe diagnostic instrument permitting noninvasive measurement, problems such as large sizes and costliness of the instrument prevent the instrument from coming into widespread use in daily life such as gymnasiums and general homes. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe head to send and receive ultrasonic waves is provided with a connector, and an ultrasonic probe socket provided in the ultrasonic probe side tip of a cable which can be connected to a body and the ultrasonic probe head are detachable. Furthermore, the mounting of an angle velocity sensor on the ultrasonic probe socket helps make the ultrasonic probe head which is small, lightweight and portable, and permits ultrasonographic measurement to be easily made at places and situations other than special locations such as medical institutions.
