PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor and electric motor capable of preventing dislocation of a permanent magnet when the permanent magnets are positioned, adhered and fixed, and capable of maintaining and improving quality with high productivity. SOLUTION: The rotor includes: a rotating shaft; an iron core 2 formed by laminating iron core plates to be fixed to the rotating shaft; a first iron plate 51 and a second iron plate 52 laminated on the rotating shaft 3; and a permanent magnet 4 fixed to the outer peripheral side surface part of the iron core. At the first iron plate 51, projection parts 51T are provided which support end parts of the permanent magnet 4; and at the second iron plate 52, the projection parts 52V are provided which can grip side surfaces of the permanent magnet 4 by an elastic restoring force.
