PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity adjusting device capable of adjusting a humidity in an object room to a desired value while saving energy.

SOLUTION: This humidity adjusting device for adjusting the humidity in the object room 1 comprises a moisture adsorber 11 constituted by forming a sheet body by fixing inorganic oxide fine particles of average particle size of 50-300 nm to a base material including fibrous or powdered activated carbon of 50-75 mass%, and a control unit 60 executing dehumidification initial control for making the humidity in the object room 1 approach a predetermined target humidity by increasing the heating amount of air by a heater 34, and a dehumidification driving control for making the humidity in the object room 1 approach a target humidity by repeating the processing for lowering a speed of air passing through a moisture adsorbing area 24 and a moisture releasing area 35 and decreasing the heating amount of air by the heater 34 according to the necessity.
