[Also in Group XXIX] A floating cover for a tank (see Group XXIX) is moulded by placing one end of a sealing strip 35 over one part 32 of the end wall of a mould 20, sliding a mould part 33 on to the sealing strip, bending the strip over on to the top of the part 33 and clamping it by sliding a mould part 34 down into it. The top of the mould 25 is then pivoted downwardly and clamped in position to close the mould, and polyurethene or foamed polythene introduced into the mould through a pipe 30. In a modification, the resin may be introduced into the mould and the top then closed and clamped.</p> |
