PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity control method capable of stable radio transmission without degrading throughput. SOLUTION: The diversity control method for a radio device provided with a plurality of antennas includes a step of selecting at least two antennas from among the plurality of antennas and a step of comparing strengths of reception powers of the at least two antennas selected to select one antenna having a stronger reception power than the other. When the radio conditions of at least two antennas have deteriorated in a first diversity control, second diversity control to changing at least one of the antennas to another new antenna is performed on the basis of the comparison results.
