PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel file folder that eliminates inconvenience due to melting of a glue by using no glue in the manufacture of the file folder and that has a sense of high quality without producing sag, wrinkles or ripples at all on the entire front and rear sheets. SOLUTION: The file folder for filing an insurance policy or the like is constituted by superimposing a front cover sheet and a backing sheet with a core material held in-between, wherein the entire edges of the superimposed front and rear sheets are welded on the strain by a welder into one body while being sandwiched by welder blades, and welded edge protrusion is cut off at the same time, and in parallel with an end edge of the welding on the strain by the welder, a picture frame-like sewing line is serially formed in the edge of the front and end sheet.
