Provided is an alternative catalytic process for producing a mixture of ethylene and carbon monoxide suitable for other processes as supply fuels. A method for producing a mixture of ethylene and carbon monoxide comprises a step of contacting ethane and carbon dioxide to a catalyst having ferric oxide which is dipped on an inorganic substance with calcium oxide or calcium carbonate at a temperature of 600°C or greater in order to produce ethylene and carbon monoxide. The catalyst contains 2-25% of iron.
