An apparatus for preventing disintegration pane of glass 100 having a securing bolt 110 passing through without removal of the glass, comprises a window film 120 for adhesion to the glass pane, the film comprising at least one hole 124 therein and a split 126 extending between the hole and an outer edge of the film, the film being configured to allow adhesion of the film on the pane and around a securing bolt 110 without removal of the pane, and a washer 130 comprising a hole 133 and a split 135 between the hole and an outer edge of the washer, the washer being configured to allow mounting of the washer on the mounted film around the securing bolt, with the washer covering the at least a part of the split in the film. A disintegration resistant bolt mounted panel is also disclosed, and a method of securing a pane of bolt secured glass against disintegration without removal of the glass is also provided. |
