<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base-isolated structure for a construction, eliminating the need for a seismic isolator and a damper. <P>SOLUTION: A base-isolated structure 10 for a construction uses a pile draft foundation for directly supporting the construction 12 together with a pile 14. The bottom face of the construction 12 is installed on a ground 16 with a prefixed ground contact pressure. The head of the pile 14 is joined to the foundation part of the construction 12, and the lower end thereof is embedded into a supporting layer 18 under the ground 16. Namely, the total of a supporting load P2 in the vertical direction of the pile 14 and a supporting load P3 in the vertical direction of the ground 16 is a vertical load P1 on the construction 12, while the total of a supporting load H2 in the horizontal direction of the pile 14 and a supporting load H3 in the horizontal direction of the ground 16 is a horizontal force H1 on the construction 12 during earthquake. A slide starting horizontal force SH desirable to start slide during earthquake is prefixed for the horizontal force H1 on the construction 12 and the ground contact pressure of the construction 12 is controlled to start the slide on the ground 16 when the horizontal force H1 is the slide starting horizontal force SH or greater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
