A self-aligning roller bearing has an inner ring (32) constructed from circumferentially continuously arranged circular arc-shaped inner ring members (33, 34), spherical rollers arranged along the inner ring (32), and fastening members (37) for connecting the inner ring members (33, 34) to each other. An adjacent pair of circumferential end surfaces of the inner ring members (33, 34) has a pair of projection walls (33b, 34b) facing each other and projecting in the direction along the contact surfaces between the inner ring members (33, 34). Each fastening member (37) has a base section (37a) located to circumferentially straddle the pair of projection walls (33b, 34b) and also has a pair of engagement sections (37b, 37c) projecting from opposite ends of the base section (37a) in the direction opposite the direction in which the pair of projection walls (33b, 34b) projects and holding the pair of projection walls (33b, 34b) from circumferentially both sides of the pair.
