PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for evaluating airless coating property which quantitatively measures the airless coating property such as a spray pattern of a coating material used for airless coating and the pressure of the coating material and a method of evaluating the airless coating property for evaluating the airless coating property of the coating material based on the quantitative and continuous measurement result. SOLUTION: The apparatus for evaluating airless coating property is provided which performs the measurement of the spray pattern of the coating material and the pressure of the coating material, and the apparatus is equipped with: a coating means equipped with a nozzle for spraying the coating material, a cylinder housing the coating material, a piston slidable in the cylinder, a manifold arranged between the nozzle and the cylinder and an actuator to slide the piston in the cylinder; a means for measuring the spray pattern of the coating material sprayed by the coating means; and a means for measuring the pressure of the coating material in the manifold.
