PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein lubricity of a vane and a vane groove is deteriorated when a cast hole of a main bearing at an upper part of the vane groove is eliminated in order to inhibit refrigerating machine oil splashed by the vane sliding in the vane groove of a cylinder from being discharged to the outside of a hermetic vessel together with refrigeration gas during operation of a hermetic rotary compressor. SOLUTION: In this compressor, the cast hole 12 of the main bearing 4 at the vane groove 13 of the cylinder 6 and the upper part thereof are eliminated, a gap is provided between the vane groove 13 and a flange part of the main bearing 4 at the upper part thereof, quantity of the refrigerating machine oil 11 splashed by the vane 8 sliding in the vane groove 13 and discharged to the outside of the hermetic vessel, is suppressed by providing a lead-in groove 15 of refrigerating machine oil 11 to facilitate supply of the refrigerating machine oil 11 to the vane groove 13, and refrigerating machine oil 11 can be supplied to the vane groove from an upper part as indicated in flow 14 of the refrigerating machine oil.
