PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a user easily recognize sound pickup orientation without performing any complicate setting. SOLUTION: A sound pickup device includes long individual sound pickup units 10, 11 and 12 whose front sides are respectively formed with mesh plates 300, 310 and 320. The individual sound pickup units 10, 11 and 12 are respectively provided with microphone arrays 200, 210 and 220, and microphones 201 to 204, 211 to 214, and 221 to 224 configuring each microphone array are arranged so that the front directions of the individual sound pickup units 10, 11 and 12 can be set as sound pickup ranges. The individual sound pickup units 10, 11 and 12 are connected so as to be rotatable by connecting parts 501 and 502. When the individual sound pickup units 10, 11 and 12 are rotated with the connecting parts 501 and 502 as a reference, the position relation of the sound collection range is changed according to the position relation of the individual sound pickup units 10, 11 and 12. Thus, the sound pickup orientation is changed as a whole sound pickup unit. As a result, it is possible to visualize the change of the sound pickup orientation of the sound pickup device.
