<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element in which a void generated in a manufacturing process of the organic EL element is suppressed and leakage of moisture and oxygen into an organic compound layer of the organic EL element can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: In the organic EL element which is constituted of at least a lower part electrode 2, the organic compound layers 3, 4, an upper part electrode 5, and a passivation layer to cover them laminated on a substrate 1, which has an alkaline metal or an alkaline metal compound in the organic compound layer 4, and in which the upper part electrode 5 composed of an oxidation membrane, the first passivation layer 6 not containing hydrogen is directly formed on the upper part electrode 5, and the second passivation layer 7 is formed on the first passivation layer 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
