FIELD: transportation, conveyor. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of lifting-transportation machines and particularly to rollers of a belt conveyor, used as a roller carriage and roller stops, and can be used in carbon, metallurgical, mining, building, and power industries. Roller contains a cylindrical barrel, bearing unit and an outer seal. Bearing units are fixed on the edges of the cylindrical barrels and mounted on the axle of the roller. On the edges of the cylindrical surfaces on the axis are fixed, at least two annular grooves, placed on the outside in relation to the bearings. On the outer seals are fixed covers and are made from a porous elastic material, treated with light oil or an oil solution, and partially placed in the annular grooves. Roller is supplied with a stopping mechanism, containing a cylindrical case coupling with immobile and mobile cam gears, contact ring and a spiral wheel. Cylindrical case coupling is rigidly fixed to the inner surface of the cylindrical barrel. An immobile cam gear is rigidly fixed on the axis of the roller. On the outer surface of the immobile cam gear slides the mobile cam gear with the contact ring, which slides between the inner surface of the case coupling and the mobile cam gear, the spiral spring is pressed till there is full contact of the mentioned ring with the case coupling. ^ EFFECT: increase in the service period of the bearing unit and retention of the conveyor belt if it breaks. ^ 2 dwg
