An apparatus for expelling harmful insect and a method for the same are provided, in which the high frequency sound is generated and the insect inside the vehicle can be controlled. An apparatus for expelling harmful insect comprises: a GPS receiver(110) receiving the present position information of the vehicles; a database(130) including insect local store part in which the insect outbreak place information is stored; a controller(120) which receives the location information of the vehicles from the GPS receiver and transmits the control signal in order to generate the high frequency; and a high frequency generation part(140) receiving the control signal from the controller and generating the high frequency via the speaker. |
