PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic system capable of simultaneously observing video images by two video scopes of different kinds, being made compact as a whole and improving the operability of the respective video scopes. SOLUTION: The endoscopic system includes: a first scope 1 and a second scope 2 of different kinds respectively incorporating solid-state imaging elements 1x and 2x; a display means 8 in common to the first scope 1 and the second scope 2; a first image processing circuit 11 for image-processing imaging signals obtained from the solid-state imaging element 1x of the first scope 1 through an imaging processing circuit and outputting video signals; a second image processing circuit 13 for image-processing imaging signals obtained from the solid-state imaging element 2x of the second scope 2 through the imaging processing circuit and outputting the video signals; and a video signal processing circuit 12 for generating video images to be displayed at the display means 8 on the basis of the video signals image-processed in the first image processing circuit 11 and the video signals image-processed in the second image processing circuit 13.
