PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can prevent a needle thread from coming into contact with a part of the thread ridge projecting outside from the end surface of a nut in a thread guide for the needle thread which is fixed with the nut. SOLUTION: In this sewing machine 1, a plurality of thread guides are arranged on the needle thread feeding path from a thread spool which is a needle thread feeding source to a sewing needle. The thread guide 30 is equipped with a bendable rod-like thread laying section, and a fixing section which is a male thread. The thread guide 30 is fixed with the nut by screwing the fixing section into a screw hole which is installed on the rest seat section 9 of an arm section 4. In addition, a cover cap 40 made of rubber is fitted on the thread guide 30 which is fixed to the rest seat section 9. Thus, the thread ridge of the fixing section of the thread guide 30 which projects outside from the end surface of the nut can be hidden in the inserting hole of the cover cap 40. Therefore, even when the needle thread moves to the rest seat section 9 side, the needle thread can be prevented from coming into contact with the thread ridge of the fixing section which has projected outside from the end surface of the nut.
