PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the payout rate by changing the degree of ease in the passage of tokens. SOLUTION: The token game machine has a checker cover 32 in which a checker 34 is so formed as to let tokens insert through a token insertion device pass and a slot provided on the rear side of the cover 32 having an opening part with its size larger than that of the checker 34. Upon the entry of a token into a slot, the game machine executes a lottery by a slot game and puts out tokens through a token return port 25 according to the result of the lottery. A CPU 40 calculates the payout rate from the number of tokens inserted from the token insertion device and that of the tokens put out and changes the degree of ease in the entry of the tokens by moving the cover member to expose the slot.
