PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer control apparatus capable of automatically restoring from an abnormal state such as hanging-up in order to cope with a problem that hanging-up of the apparatus may be generated from a cause such as generation of impedance mismatching. SOLUTION: The data transfer control apparatus 100 for transmitting/receiving data through a USB comprises a receiving state machine 115 for detecting a receiving state of data, a receiving abnormality detection circuit 120 (in a fail-safe circuit 117) for judging whether data reception is abnormal or not by a receiving state of a data receiving packet which is detected by the receiving state machine 115 at the initial timing of the data receiving packet and a reset signal generation circuit 118 for outputting a signal for resetting the whole receiving circuit when the receiving abnormality detection circuit 120 judges the existence of receiving abnormality.
