PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-lens reflex camera that has a simple constitution, has high responsiveness to switching between an exposure state and non-exposure state to an imaging element, and can also shield the light coming from a finder optical system. SOLUTION: This single-lens reflex camera comprises the imaging element; a photographic optical system for generating a subject image on the light-receiving surface of the imaging element, a finder optical system consisting of a screen 5, a penta prism 6, and an eyepiece; a reflecting unit 2 sliding between an observation position (A), where a subject light flux having passed the photographing optical system is reflected by a reflecting surface of a main mirror 12 and is guided to the finder optical system and an evacuating position (B), where retreat from the optical axis of the finder optical system is allowed and the light flux is allowed to be incident on the light-receiving surface so that it crosses the optical axis of the finder optical system while the angle of the reflecting surface is kept; and a light-shielding film unit 17 for shielding the incident light from the finder optical system, in interlock with the sliding of the reflecting unit.
