<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material with a transparent coating and a coating material for forming the transparent coating excelling in adhesion to the base material, strength, scratch resistance, antireflection performance, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The base material with the transparent coating has the transparent coating comprising silica-based hollow particles and a matrix component, formed on the base material, wherein the transparent coating contains silica-based hollow particles (A) having an average particle diameter (D<SB>PA</SB>) in a range of 60-200 nm and a refractive index in a range of 1.10-1.35, and silica-based hollow particles (B) having an average grain diameter (D<SB>PB</SB>) in a range of 5-60 nm and a refractive index in a range of 1.15-1.40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
