The method involves determining, producing or processing data elements to be sent by a cryptographic device (22) in an area of a computer network. The data elements are transferred into an audio data file in the area of the computer network. The audio data file is sent and/or played back to a computer (20) by an application program that is present in the computer. The audio data file is received by a computer. The played audio information are output from the computer to a hardware-device (30) e.g. universal serial bus (USB)-stick and card reading device.
