PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus that improves the image quality of an output image, while suppressing increase in the frequency of A/D conversion. SOLUTION: In the solid-state imaging apparatus mounted on an imaging device, such as digital camera, a ramp-type column A/D conversion circuit 106 for performing A/D conversion of a pixel signal is provided to each pixel column or to each of a plurality of pixel columns. Phase shift codes are applied to a plurality of lower side bits among the counted values stored in a digital memory 108 of each A/D conversion circuit 106, and A/D conversion is realized with the bit accuracy improved by a lower frequency.
