PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting communication abnormality in digital control device, for detecting abnormality by intermittent disturbance while preventing a digital control device from performing abnormal detection by primary disturbance. SOLUTION: Data received from the other digital control device are checked, and a monitoring counter is counted up when the data are not updated, and is reset when the data are updated. When the value of the monitoring counter exceeds a threshold N1, communication abnormality is detected, and when the frequency of the value of the monitoring counter exceeding a threshold N2 set lower than the threshold N1 exceeds a constant number A during a fixed time T after the value of the monitoring counter exceeds the threshold N2, communication abnormality is detected.
