FIELD: construction. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of metal cylindrical container construction for storage of loose materials, mostly under conditions of soft, collapsible and swelling soils. Metal cylindrical container comprises wall and stiffening ring resting on annular foundation. Stiffening ring is made of open section torus-shaped shell with horizontal annular gap equal to B (B>=2r, where r is radius of torus-shaped shell curving), inside of which transverse stiffening ribs are discretely installed with pitch of 10r. Torus-shaped shell is fixed by its convex side to wall end, and by its opposite side - to foundation. Torus-shaped shell is aligned with annular axis of wall. Besides stiffening ring may be filled by material, for instance by fine-grained concrete. ^ EFFECT: increase of bearing capacity. ^ 2 cl, 5 dwg |
