The device has an elongated shaped reinforcement (10) fixed on a structure element i.e. liner (2) of a side door (1), at a front end (10a) and at a rear end (10b) of the reinforcement for determining a hooking surface for a side face of the reinforcement. The reinforcement is constituted of a bar, and the hooking surface is formed by an anchoring zone with bosses. Each boss is directly placed on the liner, and is provided on a hinge reinforcement (3) integrated to the liner.
