The system has a correction unit (5) for calculating a slip value of each wheel with respect to ground. The correction unit limits a braking set point value to a determined braking pressure based on physical parameters of the vehicle, when the slip value exceeds given threshold. The braking set point value is calculated using a longitudinal and transversal acceleration calculating unit (3) of a mechanically decoupled braking device. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling blocking of wheels of a vehicle.
