<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the catheter lock preparation with high safety that substantially contains no bacteriostatic ingredients like antiseptics, antibacterial substances, antibiotics or others and has bacteriostatic effect at physiological osmotic pressure. <P>SOLUTION: It is a catheter lock solution injected into a catheter to be kept in a blood vessel. The solution contains weak acid with an acid dissociation constant (pKa) of 3.0 to 6.5, is 6.0 or less in pH, 0.5 to 3.0 in an osmotic pressure ratio, and can check its pH change (fluctuation) by the contained weak acid. The catheter lock solution contains an osmotic pressure adjusting agent in an amount effective to adjust its osmotic pressure ratio to the above value range and substantially contains no antibacterial substances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
