DOWNLOAD TERMINAL, CONTENT SERVER, CONTENT UTILIZATION METHOD AND CONTENT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a content distributor can manage a viewing period but can not manage the number of content resource main bodies or capacity since viewing is permitted with a time limit by applying a DRM technique to a service in a conventional download terminal for downloading contents through a network.

SOLUTION: Kinds of download contents distributed from the content server 101 include at least rental type contents to which a license for limiting the viewing period of the contents is related. When distributing or downloading the rental type contents, a distribution limit is stipulated for judging the propriety of additional distribution or additional download, and when the download terminal 200 additionally downloads the rental type contents, the download is executed according to the judged result of distribution limit stipulation.
